MEET OUR FOUNDERS

Both licensed Realtors by trade, but devout dog lovers by nature, Gil and Lana founded and incorporated PAW Estate Rescue & Shelter, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit, foster-based dog rescue, in 2020. However, their mission of helping dogs in need and "giving them a doggone chance" began three years prior when they assisted local rescuers in saving the life of a dog named Cooper who was on the euthanasia list at a local shelter.  Cooper became their first foster and after spending a significant amount of time with Lana and Gil, Cooper was transferred to a rescue organization based out of Davis, California to help place him in his fur-ever home. Since this first rescue, together, they have saved over 130 dogs and counting!

Despite the challenges and heartbreak that come with rescuing, Gil and Lana quickly realized that the heartwarming feeling that comes with each success story makes it all worth it and that their passion for helping these animals is unwavering.

Gil and Lana are in this for the long-haul. Rest assured that as long as there are homeless, abused, and unwanted animals, they will continue in their pursuit of "giving them a doggone chance!"

ABOUT PAW ESTATE

Founded and incorporated in 2020, PAW Estate Rescue & Shelter, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) foster-based, non-profit dog rescue located in the Central Valley of California.

PAW is primarily focused on rescuing, rehabilitating and placing the dogs we save in their fur-ever home to live out their lives with loving families.

Our mission is simple: save as many dogs as possible — "giving them a doggone chance" at a great life!

With the help of the community and the foster families that volunteer, we strive to save and protect as many dogs as possible — strays, abandoned dogs, owner surrenders, special needs — from homelessness, abuse, and neglect. We are strongly committed to our mission.

Once rescued, PAW follows all local protocol and reporting requirements to ensure the health and safety of these dogs.
